Poseidon

The deep-sounding earth-shaker, the encircled of the earth, the god of the wine dark seas...and a horse boy. Look it up.
Perspective, contrast, and movement can make a relatively simple concept (one character, a few props, an organic background) read quite dramatically. Tilting the "camera" up, backlighting the face, and letting the water lead the eye all make the majesty of this character palpable.
Process Work

Sketching on paper even though the final piece will be digital? Yes! Using a pencil and paper can help me draw more freely in the beginning stages of a project. Different media help different artists explore in different ways.
