Nyansa Classical Community
Illustrations for children's curricula based on myths from Homer's Iliad and Odyssey.
As an organization dedicated to serving a diverse community of students, Nyansa and I worked to reimagine iconic characters to reflect their student body. Every kid should be able to imagine themselves as a hero.
We developed a style reminiscent of layered paper cutouts to embrace a sense of childlike whimsy and imitate the two-dimensional design style of ancient Greek art.

Not Quite Write
Podcast
I'm excited to be spending 2026 as NQW's artist-in-residence!
NQW's quarterly Flash Fiction challenges are accompanied by artwork reflective of the writing prompts. This year, all pieces star the podcast hosts, Amanda and Ed, in creative and hilariou settings.

Cello Bear Goes
to Group Class
Hand-painted illustrations for a children's book that teaches kids how everyone learns differently, mistakes are okay, and doing your best is what really matters.
As the author and I worked through the design of each animal classmate, our goal was to reflect a variety of student looks, characteristics, and family types.
We wanted to portray adults and children who looked alike and unalike, and show students with visible and invisible differences. It was also important to develop an array of personalities: eager, hesitant, silly, studious.
